The Position
Applications are invited for a HGV Driver Class C / Fallen Stock Collector Driver at our Rampisham, Dorset site, with flexible working hours in line with UK Domestic Rules.
As a Fallen Stock Collector Driver, duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Companys requirements but will include:
Driving a Company HGV (Class C) vehicle and operation of vehicle equipment bin lift, tail lift, tipper body, winch etc.
Completing the required work documentation (including Driver Records and Collection Records).
Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained and clean and undertaking required vehicle checks.
Safe tipping of vehicle.
Collecting fallen stock from customer premises and bring back to site.
Dispatching (kill) farm animals at customer premises
Using firearms (if correct certificates/licences are held) to dispatch farm animals
To act as an ambassador on behalf of the Company, ensuring that the clients/customers are treated courteously and respectfully.
Consistently meeting Driver performance criteria requirements.
The Person
Candidates should hold a full Driving licence HGV Class C essential
Have a slaughter licence or certificate of competence in slaughter (DEFRA approved), although training can be provided (to hold a WATOK License would be desirable).
Hold relevant firearm certificates
Have previous experience of working in an agricultural or fallen stock background
Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner
Have knowledge of vehicle operations
Have the ability to demonstrate understanding of Driver Hours Rules (EU & UK Domestic)
Driver CPC completed
Salary: £10.00 – £10.44 p/hr (dependent upon training/experience) plus Company Benefits.
